New violin concerto by Deborah Pritchard, written for Harriet Mackenzie, to be premiered at the Aldeburgh Festival!

Continuing their long-term collaboration, composer Deborah Pritchard is writing a new concerto for Harriet Mackenzie inspired by the artwork of Maggi Hambling. This will be the third concerto and the fifth piece for this fruitful cross-art project. The third concerto will be premiered at the Aldeburgh Summer Music Festival at Snape Maltings Concert Hall with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra with Sora Elisabeth Lee conducting.

Karolos premieres new work by Robert Fokkens!

Karolos (Harriet Mackenzie – violin; Sarah-Jane Bradley – viola; and Graham Walker – cello) premiere a new work written for them by acclaimed composer Robert Fokkens at the Highgate Literary and Scientific Institute. Karolos previously recorded Fokkens’ works for string trio ‘Dawn Chants on the Umfolozi’ and ‘Limping Dance’. The new work will be an exciting addition to these works.

Sold-out concert with Celoniatus Ensemble and Sir Willard White at Oxford’s Magdalen College Chapel

Celoniatus Ensemble, directed by Harriet Mackenzie, continues it’s vibrant programme with a sold-out performance in the glorious Magdalen Chapel Oxford with the acclaimed International star Sir Willard White. The next Celoniatus concert will be October 11th at Stamford Arts Centre with a performance of Vaughan William’s Lark Ascending, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Eccles – Mad Lover’s Aire.
